MoreBC2 Governance
Current model
Section titled “Current model”MoreBC2 is an independently maintained documentation project.
Maintainers steward repository standards and decisions. The roles below describe ways people may contribute in the future; they do not claim an existing contributor community, contributor count, or endorsement.
Repository licensing, visibility, organization administration, and deployment decisions remain with the repository owner unless authority is explicitly delegated.
Stewardship
Section titled “Stewardship”A steward is responsible for:
- Keeping information organized.
- Encouraging source-backed contributions.
- Separating documentation from opinion.
- Welcoming corrections.
- Avoiding unsupported claims.
- Helping contributors find the right place for their work.
A steward does not define BitcoinII. Official BitcoinII sources remain authoritative.
Contributor roles
Section titled “Contributor roles”Contributor
Section titled “Contributor”Anyone who opens an issue, suggests a correction, submits documentation, or improves wording.
Reviewer
Section titled “Reviewer”Someone who checks clarity, formatting, links, and category placement.
Technical reviewer
Section titled “Technical reviewer”Someone who checks technical claims against source code, releases, or live network behavior.
Maintainer
Section titled “Maintainer”Someone trusted to merge changes and help guide project standards.
Decision process
Section titled “Decision process”For small documentation fixes, maintainers may merge when the change is clearly correct.
For technical claims, the change should include sources.
For controversial topics, proposals, speculation, or community opinions, content should be placed in Discussion rather than Documentation.
Disagreements
Section titled “Disagreements”When there is disagreement:
- Identify the source being used.
- Prefer primary sources over secondary sources.
- Clearly label uncertainty.
- Move unresolved claims to Needs Review.
- Avoid presenting disputed claims as verified documentation.
Relationship to BitcoinII
Section titled “Relationship to BitcoinII”MoreBC2 is independently maintained.
It should complement official BitcoinII resources, not replace them.
When MoreBC2 and official BitcoinII sources disagree, official BitcoinII sources take precedence until the difference is understood and documented.
